The South Bay Club, situated on one of the most sought after locations on South Beach, Lies on the original site of the Fleetwood Hotel, built in the early 1900's. The Fleetwood Hotel was home to US soldiers during WWII, many of whom eventually returned after the war to make Miami their home. The building we know as The South Bay Club was erected in 1966 as the West Plaza Apartments. It was inspired by the grand hotels of Puerto Rico, with their expansive open lobbies. In 1980, the West Plaza Apartments were converted to the condominium suites we enjoy today. The South Bay Club contains 347 condominium units, 5 commercial spaces and an 18-slip boat dock. Other amenities include a world-class pool deck with the most breathtaking bay views on South Beach, an elevated Jacuzzi with panoramic bay views, fully equipped fitness center, steam room, sauna, entertainment / conference center, and a convenience store.
